America's Votes are Needed!

Unfortunately it's nothing as exciting as American Idol or Dancing with the Stars, but is as equally crucial to me! Okay, so I take pictures, right? And I take really random pictures. Well, I have always thought it would be fun to someday take pictures and sell them....who wouldn't want to make money, right? Well, I took some pictures a long time ago, but I was playing with them today, and came up with these. I need to know if they are totally weird, why would I ever post that on my blog, let alone put it in my house, or if it's yeah, that could be cool in the right spot in the right house, whatever. I really like them, but I don't know if that's just my taste, or what. And they are not necessarily perfect, but I need to know if the idea is yay or nay. Can you help me? Just take a look at the following three pictures, and then respond if you like them, or if I need to go back to bed. Thank you! (The last one by the way is of a double rainbow, in case you couldn't tell what it was....)

Survey

Okay, I got this from my sister-in-law's blog (I don't say brother, because i don't know how much he contributes...) and it's cute. So I thought I'd do it for today's post. Mostly because I'm bored and I still have an hour and a half before Cameron comes home. What else am I to do?

Fun "Significant Other" Survey

What is your spouse's name? Cameron Scott Monteath.
How long have you been married? 3 years and 5 months. Holy moly...
How long did you date? hehehehe.....ummmm.....2 weeks? Then engaged for 7 or 8...
How old is he? Turning 30 +1 this year.
How old are you? A fabulous 25...almost
Who eats more sweets? Probably me....only because I'm home more. But then again, who knows how much he eats at work. That's a tough call...
Who said I love you first? I did...but when I said it, I wasn't actually meaning to say it...I think the Spirit helped me out there...
Who is taller? Dead even...although he'll tell you he's taller.
Who can sing better? Eesh. Well I can't sing....Cameron can sing pretty good.
Who is smarter? I think Cameron is smarter, although if I applied myself I'd be pretty darn smart.
Who does the laundry? Me, unfortunately and I hate it. So it doesn't get done often. I mean often enough that we're not wearing dirty clothes, but it's not my favorite chore....okay I'm done with this question...
Who does the dishes? Uh yeah, that's me.
Who pays the bills? Me. In fact we were discussing today that while I'm gone to UT he's going to have to do them...we'll see if he remembers or if our phones get shut off....
His guilty pleasure? Peanut M&M's.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Currently we both do. Strange situation, lets just leave it at that!
Who mows the lawn? Yeah, we've never had our own lawn the entire time we have been together. I would assume he would, since I wouldn't. Not that I couldn't, just wouldn't.
Besides you, who is his best friend? Lately, I have no idea. Growing up it was Matt Campbell.
Who cooks dinner? That's me, but Cameron is very good about cooking if I ask him. And a very good cook at that.
Who drives? Mostly Cameron. I'm too lazy.
Who is more stubborn? Wow....tough call. Depends on the topic. Most people would say Cameron, but it's probably pretty even.
Who kissed who first? Cameron kissed me. I was so scared to kiss him, I really didn't want to (again, long story) but he kissed me.....and holy moly, I have been a goner ever since.
What was your first date? Yeah, I don't think we ever really had a date. But, if we did it was probably going to AVP...Aliens vs. Predators. Oh yeah baby...first time holding hands....aaahhh...
Who proposed? Cameron did.....luckily I lived long enough he was able too.....he almost killed me on the 4-wheeler in the process.
Who has more siblings? He has way more.
Who wears the pants? I try to let him think he does....but me :)
What is your favorite thing about him? That he puts up with me...bad moods, stubborn and all.

Okay, that didn't take as long as I thought....dang it! That was only 10 minutes!

Yertle the Turtle...

Got in trouble this morning. Let me explain. Kohl's, my favorite store in the whole world, carries different stuffed animals and themes, for their Kohl's for Kids. All the proceeds from these $5 animals and books goes to their charity. Great thing. Well on our last shopping trip Kai saw and fell in love with Yertle the Turtle. So we had to get it for him. It is now his new best friend. Everything Kai does, Yertle has to do too. Yertle eats all his bites of food before Kai gets it....and in fact Kai refuses to eat unless Yertle has eaten it first. Yertle drinks out of his sippy cups, Yertle sleeps and is tucked in for naps and bedtime. Yertle is always there. Well this morning, Yertle and Kai were watching Sword and the Stone. (Kai is smart enough to be able to turn on the TV and load the movie by himself...which is not a good thing.) So Kai turns off the TV in the middle of the movie. I go over and tell him to turn the TV back on, but I was immediately informed that it was "tur" that had turned it off (Kai can only say tur, instead of turtle, it's really cute). So, having not seen who actually turned it off, I asked Yertle to please turn the TV back on. Kai then proceeds to take Yertles paw? what does a turtle have for feet? and turns the TV back on. Yertle got a stern talking to about playing with the TV. I don't think it'll happen again.

AHOY Blackbeard!

Err...I mean blackberry beard. Yes, and I thought crackers and blackberry jam would be such a good snack....

Some changes...

So there are a few changes happening around here. I am very excited for them both. One, my school plan is changing. It turns out that having an Accounting degree is not a fabulous background to go into Elementary Education and I need 30 more lower division credits to even get into the program. So here's the new plan. I'm going to finish my degree in Human Services, which is what I had started, I only have 48 credits left of that. If I double up classes, I can finish that in a year. Then, I'll move on and get my Masters in Elementary Education, because it doesn't matter what Bachelor's you've got. SO, this is good, because I'll be done with my Masters in the same amount of time it would take to just finish my bachelors. Plus, I'll have a broader range, with two different degrees, as opposed to the just one. So anyways, pretty exciting stuff. The second change is I'm moving out!! Whoo hoo!!! Unfortunately the bad news is....Cameron is not. I've decided that I really can't handle where I'm living, so I am going to move in with my parents in a few weeks and stay until the middle of May and come back. By that time, it will be time to find a new place to live, so I can handle the few more weeks we'd have. So anyways, I am really excited about that. Yay for changes!

My little boy is growing up

Kai was needing his shirt changed after an elbow incident involving ranch....(kids are so gross sometimes!) and when presented with his new shirt, decided to forgo the cute yellow shirt with stripes and go for something more manly. Thus daddy's football jersey. And during the wearing of the jersey he kept "running" like he was playing football. So funny!

Proud Papa

Kai had his 2 year check up today and it's official.....he's big! He's in the 90% for height and head and 80% for his weight. Doc says that if he keeps up with the growing like he has been, he'll be an easy 6' at least. Cameron is so proud! Actually, more grateful, because it's my genes getting Kai that tall, not his! But all is well. Turns out the reason Kai is so crabby is because he's getting his 2 year molars....it took 2 of us holding him down to try and feel in his mouth...so stubborn! Anyways, it was a good report, and we don't have to do it again for another year!

Peace out!

I think I must be crazy

I have wanted to go back to school for sometime now, especially with Cameron working at University of Phoenix...I get 80% off as a spouse. So that's awesome. I finally decided what program I'm going to do...and that's why I'm crazy! I am going to do the Elementary Education one. I actually am really excited, because if I ever have to go back to work, I will have the same schedule as my kids for everything, so it's perfect. And I would really love it. But I was reading over the program requirements...I'm crazy! And it's a lot of maintaining the certificate once I get it, which is also crazy. But like I said, I am pretty excited, and I think it's a good choice. I just didn't feel right about my other choices, and this one I am excited for....although it is tempered by the thought of the workload! But it's good! Anyways. Please tell me I'm not crazy!~

Holy Moly!

As of last Friday it was official. I have a two year old! So crazy! It's not so much that he's two, but that I HAVE a two year old! That's what's crazy! Anyways, we celebrated it twice this year. Once last week with my family in UT and then on Saturday with Cameron's family and some friends. Here are a few pictures!
Such a cheese! He's a total ham in front of the camera. Here's his "posing":
He loved his cake. Before his party Dad showed him how to "sample" the cake by poking his finger in the corner....he was going crazy! He loved it! He was excited to blow out his candles, and yesterday he saw the rest of the cake and he wanted to blow out more candles. So funny!
He was a little upset when he was done blowing them out! All in all it was a really fun evening, and he had a blast, and loved his presents, of course!
